The Ti Cuntu line
When you think of the Hyblaean Mountains, you think of its "Dry stone walls," a distinctive feature of our province and clearly visible from our company. The walls have always been, in our history, a symbol of boundary marking. In the past, children were taken to "Spitrari" to clear the land of stones, which were then piled up and later used to build the dry stone walls. For us, the walls have always been places to lean on and, above all, to rest from the labors of work. From here comes the idea of the "Ti Cuntu" ("I’ll Tell You") line... sitting on a dry stone wall, drinking a glass of wine, and sharing stories. These days, we rarely take the time to share stories. Can a photo and a tag tell our story? The dry stone wall is seen as a meeting point between the winemaker and the taster. The label as the geolocation of a wine, of a company. In the background of the label, the Hyblaean Mountains, Etna, Chiaramonte Gulfi, and our vineyards that lie on these valleys; in the foreground, a tactile dry stone wall and a bush of Wild Myrtle, symbol of our Mortilla district. Simple and distinctive elements that are easy to remember. The texture of the dry stone wall is meant to let distant people experience the same emotions we feel when we look at the landscape from our company. You uncork the bottle of wine and find all the scents of this land: carob, olive, prickly pear, fig, wild red fruits, roses, field herbs, borage, wild mustard with its white flowers, daisies. Honest wines that tell of the effort and love for this work and that remain faithful to the winemaking traditions of our district.
