Data controllers
The data controller pursuant to current laws is the site administrator, Tenute Senia Società Cooperativa Agricola with CEO Angela Nicosia, who can be contacted through the CONTACTS section (link at the bottom of the page).
Legal basis of processing
This site processes data mainly based on users' consent. Consent is given via the banner at the bottom of the page, or through the use or consultation of the site, which is considered as conclusive behavior. By using or consulting the site, visitors and users approve this privacy policy and consent to the processing of their personal data in relation to the methods and purposes described below, including possible disclosure to third parties if necessary for the provision of a service. Through communication forms or service request forms, additional consents are collected relating to the specific purpose of the service.
The provision of data and therefore consent to the collection and processing of data is optional; the User may refuse consent and may revoke at any time any consent already given (via the banner at the bottom of the page, the browser settings for cookies, or the Contacts link). However, refusing consent may make it impossible to provide certain services and the browsing experience on the site may be compromised.
The data for site security and for the prevention of abuse and SPAM, as well as data for the analysis of site traffic (statistics) in aggregated form, are processed based on the legitimate interest of the Data Controller in protecting the site and its users. In such cases, the user always has the right to object to the processing of data (see section User Rights).
The data provided for consultations or professional assignments are processed based on the fulfillment of a contract and the fulfillment of a legal obligation. In such cases, specific information is provided.
Purpose of processing
purposes The processing of data collected by the site, in addition to the purposes connected, instrumental and necessary for the provision of the service, is aimed at the following purposes:
– Statistics (analysis)
Collection of data and information in an exclusively aggregated and anonymous form in order to verify the correct functioning of the site. None of this information is related to the physical person-User of the site, and in no way allows identification. Consent is not required.
– Security
Collection of data and information in order to protect the security of the site (anti-spam filters, firewall, virus detection) and of Users and to prevent or uncover fraud or abuse against the website. The data is recorded automatically and may also include personal data (IP address) that could be used, in accordance with current laws, to block attempts to damage the site itself or to harm other users, or in any case harmful or criminal activities. Such data is never used for the identification or profiling of the User and is deleted periodically. Consent is not required.
- Ancillary activities
Communicate the data to third parties who perform functions necessary or instrumental to the operation of the service (e.g. comment box), and to allow third parties to carry out technical, logistical, and other activities on our behalf. Providers have access only to the personal data necessary to perform their tasks, and they undertake not to use the data for other purposes, and are required to process personal data in accordance with current regulations.
- Consultancies and professional assignments
In case of spontaneous submission of data in order to request professional advice or for a professional assignment, the data will be used solely for the purpose of evaluating the assignment and for its possible fulfillment. In such cases, specific information will be provided.
Collected data
data This site collects user data in two ways.
- Data collected automatically
During Users' navigation, the following information may be collected and stored in the site's server (hosting) log files:
- internet protocol (IP) address;
- type of browser;
- parameters of the device used to connect to the site;
- name of the internet service provider (ISP);
- date and time of visit;
- web page of origin of the visitor (referral) and exit;
- possibly the number of clicks.
This data is used for statistical and analytical purposes, in an exclusively aggregated form. The IP address is used exclusively for security purposes and is not cross-referenced with any other data.
- Data provided voluntarily
The site may collect other data in the event of voluntary use of services by users, such as comment services, communication services (contact forms, comment boxes), and these will be used exclusively for the provision of the requested service:
- name;
- email address;
- any additional data voluntarily sent by the user.
Data retention period
The data collected by the site during its operation are kept for the time strictly necessary to carry out the specified activities. Upon expiration, the data will be deleted or anonymized, unless there are further purposes for their retention.
The data (IP address) used for site security purposes (blocking attempts to damage the site) are kept for 30 days.
Data for analytics (statistical) purposes are stored in aggregated form for 24 months.
Transfer of collected data to third parties
The data collected by the site is generally not provided to third parties, except in specific cases: legitimate request by the judicial authority and only in cases provided for by law; when it is necessary for the provision of a specific service requested by the User; for the execution of security checks or site optimization.
Transfer of data to non-EU countries
This site may share some of the data collected with services located outside the European Union area. In particular with Google, Facebook, and Microsoft (LinkedIn) through social plugins and the Google Analytics service. The transfer is authorized based on specific decisions of the European Commission, or based on the standard contractual clauses of the individual services.

In addition to the Data Controller, in some cases, categories of persons in charge involved in the organization of the site or external parties (such as third-party technical service providers, hosting providers) may have access to the data.

This site uses cookies, text files that are stored on the user's device or that allow access to information on the user's device. Cookies allow information to be stored about visitors' preferences, are used to verify the correct functioning of the site and to improve its features by customizing the content of the pages according to the type of browser used, or to simplify navigation by automating procedures (e.g. Login, site language), and finally for the analysis of the site's use by visitors.

Data collected: browser identifier, date and time of interaction with the site, referring page, IP address.
Data processing location: European Union as the anonymization of the service is active.
The data collected does not allow the personal identification of users, and is not cross-referenced with other information relating to the same person. It is processed in aggregate and anonymized form (truncated to the last octet). According to a specific agreement (DPA), Google Inc. (data processor) is prohibited from cross-referencing such data with data obtained from other services.

The user can selectively disable (opt-out) the collection of data by Google Analytics by installing the appropriate component provided by Google (opt out) on their browser.
- Youtube: platform, owned by Google, for sharing videos. Cookies are set when accessing the page containing the embed, and when starting the video, and do not allow the identification of the User unless they are already logged into their Google profile.
For the videos on the site, the "advanced privacy (no cookie)" option has been enabled, which ensures that YouTube does not store information about visitors unless they voluntarily play the video.
Data collected: number and behavior of service users, IP address, information linking site visits to the Google account for users already logged in, video viewing preferences.
Data processing location: USA.
Social Network Plugin
This site also incorporates plugins and/or buttons in order to allow easy sharing of content on your favorite social networks. When you visit a page on our website that contains a plugin, your browser connects directly to the servers of the social network from which the plugin is loaded. That server may track your visit to our website and, if applicable, associate it with your social account, especially if you are logged in at the time of your visit or if you have recently browsed one of the websites containing social plugins. If you do not want the social network to record data relating to your visit to our website, you must log out of your social account and, most likely, delete the cookies that the social network has installed in your browser.
This site has plugins installed with advanced privacy protection functions for Users, which do not send cookies or access cookies present on the User's browser when the page is opened, but only after clicking on the plugin.

Pursuant to European Regulation 679/2016 (GDPR), the User may, according to the procedures and within the limits provided by current legislation, exercise the following rights:

- request confirmation of the existence of personal data concerning them (right of access);
- know its origin;
- to receive intelligible communication thereof;
- to have information about the logic, methods, and purposes of the processing;
- request their updating, rectification, integration, deletion, transformation into anonymous form, blocking of data processed in violation of the law, including those no longer necessary for the purposes for which they were collected;
- in cases of processing based on consent, receive, at the sole cost of any support, your data provided to the controller, in a structured format readable by a data processor and in a format commonly used by an electronic device;
- the right to lodge a complaint with the Supervisory Authority (Privacy Guarantor – link to the Guarantor's page);
- as well as, more generally, exercise all the rights granted to them by current legal provisions.
